The Bango Payment Platform directly integrates all the major app stores with carrier billing systems around the world.
Bango Dashboard delivers a unique view of operator billed payments, across all these major app stores. It allows app stores and operators to understand which apps and in-app content customers and subscribers are buying, allowing them improved customer engagement, stronger advertising and marketing capabilities and better developer relationships.
Using the Bango Dashboard
Sign-in online at http://dashboard.bango.com from the chosen device.
Forgot your Password?
You can easily change your password by following the instructions through the "Forgotten your password?" link.
After using the forgotten password tool, you will receive an email with instructions on how to reset.
The Bango Dashboard homepage is broken out into four easy to read sections, making the essential information instantly available.
- User spend
The main graph in the below image shows today’s user spend by hour, as the day goes on you will see the user spend grow.
The transaction summary in the top right corner shows the total amount of user spend so far, the number of unique users, attempted payments, payments completed, cancelled payments, rejected payments, transaction errors and even the total number of refunds processed so far. These figures are used to populate the transaction success rate percentage.
You can select each of these to change the view of the graph - a little bit more information on each of the options can be found below.
- Success rate
You can see the current transaction success rate for the day at the bottom right of the screen. Here you can see a good 74% conversion rate.
- Top items
The bar graph next to the success rate displays today's top selling apps, which as you can see in this example is "Bag of Gems (Clash of Clans)."
Aside from the standard User spend view, there are various other data views that you can choose.
Selecting this view displays the total number of unique users that have been recorded.
- Attempted payments
This view displays that total number of attempted payments, both successful and not successful.
- Payments completed
This view displays the total number of successful transactions.
- Payments cancelled
This view displays the number of transactions explicitly cancelled by the user, including any reversed during the permitted time period.
In the below example, the graph shows a consistent number of cancellations – around 40 a day. There was a slightly higher spike on May 20th.
Rejected payments are where a user fails to pay, perhaps they have insufficient funds or their spending limit has been reached.
This should be a consistent percentage of the payments started. The value will typically depend on the proportion of pre-pay versus post-pay subscribers, along with product prices, local economies and the spend limits set. In the below example there are around 2000 rejected payments per day.
Payment errors reflect system level issues or network time outs. In general you don’t want many of these, but low numbers are hard to avoid.
Higher value spikes are of more concern as they could reflect more serious operator billing issues, such as this one on May 17th.
Bango monitors billing systems 24/7 and immediately reports issues to operators
This is where a user asked for their money back. Ideally, these should be few and far between. Prolonged periods of consistent refunds or very high spikes, when compared to the average daily spend, should be investigated.
This chart reflects low overall refunds, with a small number of peak days, which is normal.
Top Items - View More
You can click the 'View More' button at the top right of the bar graph to view more than just the top 10 most sold items. You can also see the total amount of user spend for that particular item on the right hand side.
Modifying the Date range
At the top right hand corner of the screen you will see that you are able to easily to set the date range. As seen in the below picture, there are a number of predefined date ranges already set up within the dashboard.
Apply these to modify the data that is presented to you.
The Custom option allows you to manually enter the date range you require, as seen below.
Selecting a Dimension
As seen below, you can change scale of the X Axis on the main graph to display either by day, by hour or by week.
To display 'by day' or 'by week', you will need to apply a relevant date range. e.g more than one day for the 'by day' scale.
Selecting Different Packages
If you have access to multiple Dashboard packages, you are able to easily switch between these by clicking the drop down menu; as seen below:
A Bango Package is the collection of all of the information, configuration and financial details related to your integration.
Viewing payments for a particular Merchant
As seen below, you are able to filter the data displayed by a particular merchant, or you can simply stick with the default 'All Transactions'
Setting a Default package
Clicking the Star icon at the top of the Dashboard homepage will save your currently selected package as the default.
You may choose to export information into Excel to share with colleagues.
Clicking the highlighted button above will instantly download the report into Excel format, as you can see below:

Adding new users
Admin account holders have the ability to add news users to their Bango Dashboard package.
Step 1: Go to the ‘Manage users’ page, click on the ‘Add user’ button
Step 2: Enter the new users email address and set their access level, either 'Administrator' or 'View payment and analytics reports'.
An administrator can create new users, a user with 'View payment and analytics reports' access cannot create new users.
Step 3: To allow the new user to set their account password you must go to ‘Manage users’ and select the 'Reset password' link.
An email will be sent to the new user with instructions on how to set their password
